Top Block Nature Play

Macclesfield Primary’s ‘Top Block’ nature play area provides students with an opportunity to connect with nature and the Peramangk People. Our beautiful Top Block has a bush tucker trail which students use to learn about the rich Peramangk culture. Students gain knowledge of the Peramangk names and uses for the plants in Top Block. They also gain knowledge of how the plants can be used and prepared.

Students have access to Top Block in terms two and three at lunch playtimes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Classroom teach also often use the space to assist their learning such as in Physical Education, Better Buddies, Maths and more.
